BRIDGING THE DIGITAL GAP FOR SCHOOL TEACHERS & ADMINISTRATORS

ABOUT THE EVENT:

Since the Malaysia implemented the first computer system in 1966, the Government has introduced several initiatives to accommodate the better integration of information and communications technology (ICT) into every part of life, including the improvement of education and training programmes.

 

Knowing the importance of these efforts, INTI Foundation organised a one-day workshop 13th August 2004, from 8am to 5pm at INTI College Malaysia. Tuan Haji Abdul Hamid bin Akub, Negeri Sembilan Assistant State Education Director represented Dato’ Haji Rohani bin Shariff, Negeri Sembilan Education Director to officiate the event in the presence of INTI College Vice-President, Dr. Chia Swee Ping, Chairperson, Dr. Wu Ming Chu and other management staff of INTI College attended to the opening ceremony. Total number of 131 participants registered and attended the workshop.

 

The ICT Workshop featured 5 different computer application sessions to facilitate the growing demand of the various ICT skills. This includes using word processors and creating formula, creating digital presentations, assembling PC hardware components and designing web pages. Participation fee of the workshop is RM 50 per person including workshop materials, CD, floopy disk, lunch, refreshments, and a certificate. Free accommodation for a two-night stay is arranged upon request.
