ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Mr.Tao Xiping, 70, now as Vice-president of Chinese Education Association, has been engaged in China’s basic education since the 1950. In the mid 1980’s, he held the position of Director of the Beijing Education Bureau to perform educational reform in the capital. Besides that, Mr. Tao also holds the position of Advisor to the National Chief Inspector, President of Beijing Association of Societal Sciences Circles, Vice-president of the Chinese Society of Education and President of Asian Pacific Federation of UNESCO Clubs and Association.

 

He was formerly

(i)                  Director and Chief Secretary of the Party of Beijing Education Bureau

(ii)                Assistant Major of Beijing Municipal Government

(iii)               Vice Director of the Standing Committee of Beijing People’s Congress

(iv)              Member of the ESCH Committee of National People’s Congress

(v)                Editor-in-Chief of Dictionary of Education Assessments

 

The public lecturer was held on 19th of March 2005 at Auditorium, Sin Chew Daily. It was delivered in mandarin. Total of 120 participants attended to the said lecture and actively involved in Q & A session.
