ABOUT THE EVENT:
INTI Group of Colleges has organised the ultimate challenge for students in Selangor, Wilayah Persekutuan and Negeri Sembilan to participate in i-Challenge 2005 event, which the final is held on August 21, 2005 at Berjaya Times Square.
i-Challenge 2005 event is open to all 16 and 17-year old secondary school students in teams of 3 vying for cash, scholarships and prizes worth a total of RM 100,000.A press conference was held on 16th May 2005 at PJCAD campus.
Round One of i-Challenge begun on Saturday, 25 June 2005 where participants have been tested on their knowledge in Computing, Business, Mathematics, Sciences, English and General Knowledge in a paper-based quiz.
24 teams that qualify for Round Two have prove their skills in poster design and fruit carving. The selected 12 teams that make it to the Semi-finals thereafter will face-off in obstacle games after which the best six teams will qualify for the finals on 21 August 2005. The one team that is judged the best in stage performance wins the i-Challenge title for the year.
In semifinal, all 12 teams from Round Two were brought together at ICM to overcome fear and challenge their limits. 4 ‘Fear Factor’ style games were prepared for them. In conclusion, the final is set at Berjaya Times Square. The Champion goes to SMK Assunta, 1st and 2nd Runner-up goes to Chung Hwa Independent High School.
The objective of the event:
(i) To create a holistic studying environment for secondary students
(ii) To mold students into all rounder
(iii) To allow students to have something different instead of organizing just educational competitions
