The Event:
The preliminary round was held on 28th June 2003 at various test centres.
It includes Johor, Kedah, Kelantan, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Perak,
Pulau Pinang, Sabah, Sarawak, Selangor, and Terengganu.
Teams from four schools in Kedah, Perak, Selangor, and KL have made it
to the Comquiz 2003 final. The teams from SM Ibrahim in Alor Star, SM
St. Michael in Ipoh, SM Damansara Jaya in PJ, and Chung Hwa Independent
School in KL, beat 453 other teams from 164 schools in the preliminary
rounds held worldwide earlier on 28th June 2003.
The final was held at INTI College Sarawak on 16th August 2003.On 17th
August, the Comquiz 2003 winner was published at The Star newspaper. Three
students of Chung Hwa Independent High School, KL as champions, walked
away with a plaque, prizes, and INTI College merit scholarships worth
RM 5, 000 each and the award was presented by Dr. Lee Fah Onn at ICSK.
The first runner-up goes to SM St. Michael of Perak and second runner-up
goes to SM Ibrahim of Kedah. Both schools received plaques, prizes, and
merit scholarship each worth RM 3,000 and RM 1,000 respectively.
