ABOUT THE EVENT:
INTI has been an active supporter of Comquiz since 2001, and sees the annual computer quiz as a part of its role in promoting IT knowledge and skills among school children. Beside Comquiz, INTI is involved in several other IT-related projects, including its e-campus project that comprises applications such as INTI Smart Card System, e-learning and Total Campus Management Solution.

This year, contestants from SM Batu Lintang in Kuching emerged as champions of the IT contest. Little did the three, Roy Chai, Merlvyn Khoo, and Then Kai Ho the first time of taking part in IT quiz. Each of them received full scholarships of up to RM 11,000.00 for pre-university or foundation studies at INTI College. Among the other goodies they bagged were a Canon LiDE 20 Scanner, Nokia 3100 mobile phone, Digi Beyond Prepaid SIM pack plus a RM 100 reload coupon, and Microsoft and Eastpak products. Contestants from Chong Hwa Independent High School in Kuala Lumpur emerged first runner-up while SM Hin Hua in Klang was second runner-up. The fourth placing went to the team from SM Katholik in Petaling Jaya. All four schools will receive a personal computer, printer, camera, and scanner.

The final was held at INTI College Malaysia on 14th August 2004. Among those present at the final were Deputy Science, Technology, and Innovation Minister Datuk Kong Cho Ha, The Star group editorial/education adviser Datuk Ng Poh Tip, and INTI College Malaysia President Tan Yew Sing and Dr. Lee Fah Onn.
