ABOUT THE EVENT:
INTI Foundation donated RM 50, 000 to The Federation of Hokkien Associations of Malaysia, Youth Section as a permanent debate competition fund and the trophy would be named as INTI Cup. A press conference was held at INTI College Malaysia on 19th May 2003 to present the mock cheque to the association and to officially to announce the INTI Cup. The semi-final and final were held in Penang on 7th to 8th June 2003. There are 8 schools that entered to the semi-final. The champion goes to SMJK Katholik, Petaling Jaya, 1st runner-up is SMJK Chung Ling, Pulau Pinang, 2nd runner-up is Sek. Men. Chung Hwa Persendirian and the 3rd runner-up is SMK Kelapa Sawit, Kulai. Ms. Luo Li Jun was elected as the most eloquent debater. The rest are in consolation prizes, SMJK Chung Hwa Wei Sin, Kuala Terengganu, Chung Hua Middle School No. 1, SMK Tunku Ampuan Durah, Seremban, and Sek. Men. Sultan Badlishah Kulim.

Mr. Michael Yap, the principle of INTI International College Penang represented INTI Foundation to deliver a speech in the closing ceremony. This debate competition is going to be listed in Ministry of Education as one of the ministry's annual activities.
