About The Event:
The National Counsellor Conference 2004 was held on 28.2.2004 (Saturday) at INTI College Malaysia, Bandar Baru Nilai. The Career and Counselling Centre, INTI College Malaysia is the organizer. It was officiated by Y.B. Dato' Seri Dr. Hajah. Siti Zaharah Hj. Sulaiman, The Minister of National Unity and Social Development Malaysia (replaced by Dato' Dr. P. Manogran, Ketua Setiausaha, Jabatan Perpaduan dan Pembangunan Sosial Negara during the actual event.) and Y.B. Tan Sri Dato's Lee Lam Thye, Social Activist.

The theme of this conference is 'Finding the Balance inYour Life'. The purpose to organize this event is to provide a platform for interaction and discussion on various counselling issues such as: a) How to Create a Functional Family; b) Couples Counselling; c)Construction of a Counselling Need Scale; d) Enhancing Counsellors' Resiliency; e) Stress Management; f) Gender and Sexuality and g) Adventure Therapy: Handling Youth at Risk.

There were about 420 people who actually registered to participate in this event. However, there were only 360 participants who turned up on that day, this number didn't include 25 of our own INTI staff and 15 VIPs who are officers from MOE, Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri Selangor, Negeri Sembilan and Wilayah Persekutuan and from PBD.

There were 6 speakers who attended this event to share their research and conduct the workshops. The speakers are:
