About
The Event:
This event aims to enhance the cultural and art exchange as well as
the bilateral relationship between China and Malaysia, and further
to enhance the world's peace and prosperity.
The 2003 Peace Art Exhibition for Charity exhibited total 73 art pieces
inclusive of paintings & calligraphies. The exhibition was firstly
held at INTI International College Penang. It will be held at INTI
College Subang Jaya and ITNI College Sarawak later in year 2003.
Y.B. Dato' Dr. Toh Kin Woon, Penang State Executive Councillor officiated
the opening ceremony on 10th January 2003 at 3 pm. After the opening
ceremony, the public had the opportunity to eyewitness the demonstration
of the art paintings and calligraphies of the 4 artists from China.
The exhibition was held from 10th - 12th January 2003. Other activities
were a talk on Chinese Arts by the China artists, and the performance
by Children of Cerebral Palsy (Spastic) Children's Association of
Penang. The exhibition was held in aid of Rumah Orang Tua Jubli Perak
and Persatuan Kanak-Kanak Sepastik.
