ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Professor Hao Bailin was born on 26th June 1934 in Beijing, China. He
is a Fellow of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Member of Third World Academy
of Sciences, and Chairman of the General Council of Asia Pacific Center
for Theoretical Physics. He has been working on condensed matter theory,
computational and statistical physics, chaotic research papers; 9 books
in Chinese, including the first FOTRAN text for scientists in China
(1977, 1982, 1987) and Handbook of Bioinformatics in 2000; as well as
2 monographs in English. He bags twice National Awards of Second Rank
and CAS Awards for First Rank for 'Applied symbolic dynamics'(1991,
1992) and 'Unified formalism for equilibrium and non-equilibrium problem'
(1999, 2000)
He was invited to deliver the public lecture in mandarin entitled "A
Simple Exposition Bioinformatics: A Challenging Interdisciplinary Studies"
on 12th September 2003 at 7.30pm - 9.00pm at the Selangor Chinese Assembly
Hall, KL. The admission is free.
