There are currently 8 ongoing projects from 2006 which include those that were continued from previous years and those which commenced in 2006. At the International Network and Mobile Computing Conference 2006 organized by INTI-UC, 8 lecturers presented their papers. In addition, a further 8 papers were published and presented at the various local and international conferences organized by local private and public universities.

With this information, it can be seen that about 23% of lecturers were involved in some form of research activity in the year 2006. The research areas covered a wide range of IT projects ranging from e-Learning systems, mobile technologies and applications to e-Commerce areas.

In 2007, 7 research projects have commenced and are ongoing, with 2 more anticipated to commence by June 2007. This year, the Faculty also plans to embark on 3 consultancy projects.
